Tickets are now available for The St. Margaret’s Society of Queens’ Lent term concert!

Bringing together some of the finest musicians from Queens’ and the wider university, the MagSoc Symphony Orchestra perform two favourites of the classical repertoire at West Road Concert Hall. After opening the concert with the delightful overture to Mozart’s opera The Magic Flute, before tackling perhaps the best-known symphonic work of all time – Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 in C minor. Both works are conducted by Carlos Rodriguez, second year music student at Queens’, returning after a successful performance of Fauré’s Requiem last term.

After the interval, Adam McDonagh takes charge for two works by Mozart for orchestra and chorus, conducting the MagSoc Chorus in the Laudate Dominum, before being joined by soloists Anna-Luise Wagner (soprano), Hope Whitehead (mezzo-soprano), Andrei Smid (tenor) and Tom Unwin (baritone) for the Coronation Mass.
