Every Thursday of full-term at 6pm. In Lent 2022 these will be happening in Old Hall or the Chapel depending on the recital so be sure to check the term card to see where to go. The recital series is always a great way to unwind as we come to the end of the week with a variety of musical genres and styles. Minerva Festival Opening Concert
Celebrating and promoting the music of marginalised gender composers. Opening concert to be hosted in the Fitzpatrick Hall on Saturday 22nd January. Program to include O Great Mystery by Nebal Maysaud; Callirhoe Suite by Cecile Chaminade and, Andromede by Augusta Mary Anne Holmes. Tickets free with a charity collection on the night for Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre.
The final of the Tyro Music Prize will be happening in Old Hall on Monday 28th February. This will be a great evening celebrating music-making in Queens’ and we’d love to see you there. We are also looking for people to enter the competition – if you are interested we have a dedicated page with information about the prize here. Admission is free and seating unreserved.
MagSoc’s termly showcase of the orchestra and MagSoc Chorus playing some of the most ambitious and popular repertoires. This concert will be happening on Thursday 17th March at West Road Concert Hall. Tickets are free for Queens’ members and start from £5 for others. More details including repertoire and ticketing information will be released closer to the time.
